HYAENAS: under the bridge renegade party!!

This was an unforgettable event that took place under a bridge that we organized. Unfortunately, the cops showed up RIGHT before we were about to play. Nonetheless, the night was one to remember.

In dark industrial corners and between the cold steal rails we congregated for an evening of fucking celebration.
under the black as skoal sky and the concrete cathedral of a bridge, we heralded to the gods with dancing, laughter, cigarettes, bottles, couches and speakers, spiriting along the tracks.

“Last night I decided to meet up with my bro, and he tells me he’s at some huge party under a bridge in east Van put on by Hyaenas. Holy frackles it was hands down the dopest thing I’ve been to in Vancouver since I moved here. There was great music for the short while (not sure who was on) I was there, which was dub/ragga based. The lineup consisted of Basketball, Max Ulis, No Gold, Phowa, The Brown Acid and Hyaenas crew. What blew my mind the most was the fact that there were like 500-800 people there between the grungy metal bridge girders and rubble and discarded furniture. It was so ghetto, and SO beautiful. I could only imagine a detroit techno party going off there. It was rad as shit.” -intrinsic rhythm
